The OnlyFans and Instagram Model Court Courtney Clenney Was Accused on Murder Case

Courtney Clenney, the OnlyFans and Instagram model who fatally knifed the victim’s boyfriend in Miami on April 1, was arrested for murder, as The Miami Herald has learned.

26-year-old Clenney was detained this Wednesday morning in Hawaii and will eventually be transferred into Miami-Dade County to face trial. Clenney is charged with second-degree murder using deadly weapons in connection with the April 3 stabbing of Christian “Toby” Obumseli.

She was arrested on Wednesday afternoon with the help of her Miami defence attorney, Frank Prieto, who claimed she was in Hawaii as part of her rehabilitation program for post-traumatic disorder.

“I’m completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged,” Prieto said. “We look forward to clearing her name in court.”

In a news release Wednesday evening, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office announced that the warrant to arrest was not yet in a sealed state. The State Attorney Katherine Fernandez, along with City Police Chief Manuel Morales and South Florida U.S. Marshal Gadyaces Serralta, will detail the arrest in the press conference scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

The arrest is the culmination of the four-month probe conducted led by Miami investigators from the Miami police department and investigators into Clenney, who was found dead by her boyfriend in an argument at home in a luxurious Edgewater apartment, drew attention from across the globe. Clenney’s lawyer insisted that she acted in self-defence and the murder was justifiable.

In the days following his death, relatives of Obumseli requested the arrest of Clenney, insisting they were not convinced that he had ever been an actual threat.

Obumseli was a cryptocurrency expert. He was known under the platform name Courtney Tailor on her social media platforms. Clenney boasted over two million users on her social media platforms.

She and Obumseli had been dating for less than two years, and their relationship was beset by domestic violence. She’d been detained for domestic violence in Las Vegas, and police were called to their residence in Austin, Texas, on numerous occasions.

The couple had resided a short time in Miami for a short period in The One Paraiso building, 3131 NE 7th Ave., which was where staff had documented many domestic disturbances complaints regarding the couple. They even tried to get them out.

Clenney and Obumseli broke up multiple times, though investigators believe he had returned to the apartment on the first morning of April. The Miami Herald earlier reported that Miami police arrived at the residence one day on the 1st of April, just two days before the stabbing, due to another domestic disturbance.

On the evening of April 3, shortly before five p.m., Clenney frantically called 911 to report that Obumseli was wounded.
