Rohit Sharma May Be Restrained for The Reminder of West Indies Vs India T20I Series

Rohit Sharma started the second half of the chasing run with a six- and a four-point separation by a dot ball. Soon, he was struggling in the middle, prompting the physio to come out to help him. After a lengthy discussion with the physio, Rohit seemed to be struggling, and then he walked away, much to the surprise of the spectators. With the humidity at 70%, the temperature in St Kitts hovered around the 35-degree mark. Rohit seemed to be suffering from heat exhaustion.

Rohit Sharma’s exit from the field was not immediately clear. Commentators suggested that dehydration could be the reason. Rumours circulated that he pulled a muscle as he tried to swing across to take a shot in the same over.

Shreyas Iyer entered to join Suryakumar Yadav as India tried to track down 165 in St Kitts. Later, it was revealed that the 35-year-old left the field due to back spasms. This was confirmed by team physio.

Although the extent of the injury remains unknown, he may be restrained for the remainder series. The Asia Cup 2022 will begin later in the month.
